Thanksgiving is always a fun day; getting up bright & early to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade, cleaning the house before guests arrive, cooking all morning and enjoying yummy food with family & friends. It’s always been one of my favorite holidays. But it’s more than just that, it’s more than eating turkey and mashed potatoes. It’s a time to give thanks; a time to give thanks to God.
1. an expression of gratitude.
So many people don’t even think about that, they just think of it as “Turkey Day”. We live in a world where people don’t know the real meaning of Thanksgiving, and that’s so unfortunate. Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks to the Lord for all he has done for us that year. Through the midst of all of the chaos going on in our world, we have SO much to be thankful for; running water, a house to live in, the privilege to freely praise our God in our country and so much more.
This Thanksgiving, I challenge you & your families for everyone to write something they’re thankful for, a legitimate answer too. I’m going to do my best to have everyone write down one thing on a leaf to make a whole tree.
What are you thankful for? Leave a comment below and let’s see how many we can get!
Happy Thanksgiving y’all!!
